Very cool layout of your pier! Also great idea for the ecological breakwater, just consider the walking distance out onto a breakwater, it may need heavier planting to buffer the wind and water spray.
Thanks for the compliments! Just to explain a little,we began this project within a group. This group was made of 4 guys, we then split up and took a more focused look at these different parts of our overall site concept. I for instance looks at the breakwaters, if you refer to the Eco Breakwaters the design of the actual structure was pushed much farther, with relatively low sand dune planting to preserve views from beach and port, to sunken ship wrecks. As for the heating of the containers we never actually thought about that but we'll keep it in mind.
Okay so maybe this question is obvious, but containers can get hot, what measures would be taken to cool the structures down?
