  1. Will having heavy containers over a walking space feel safe considering the recent environmental disaster? Also how will shipping containers scattered along the beach look appealing to tourists?

  2. The aesthetics of the containers is definitely something to consider. As you can see, they would be painted. But, since this review, I've been trying to look into ideas of how the containers could be reshaped or positioned to be more aesthetically pleasing. The whole idea of the containers is reusing the existing ones left on the dock.

As far as feeling safe, you make a good point. My whole idea of a covered walking space was taken from royal street and the precedent architecture, trying to create the same spatial dimensions as the streets of the French Quarter. Maybe this approach is a little too literal or structural, perhaps other materials could be used to create the same effect but still be inviting.
